West Haven Wedding
West Haven is a city in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States.
Settled in 1648 West Haven (also known as West Farms) was a part of the original New Haven colony. In 1719, it became the separate parish of West Haven. West Haven and North Milford joined to become Orange (incorporated as a town in 1822). In 1921 West Haven gained independence from Orange. In 1779 the British attacked New Haven Harbor and came ashore in West Haven. The Honorable John Picard has served as mayor since December 2005.
In local lore, West Haven is said to have more bars per square foot than any other city in the country, and is home to the infamous "Campbell Crawl," in which revelers must try to drink a beer and a shot at every bar (at least 15) on West Haven's Campbell Avenue.
